50 Shades of Grey

So all I have been hearing for ages is about this movie that was going to be released on Valentines day in the cinema’s, and that it was the best movie of all time, and had all this hype about it and was everywhere.

Unlike the rest of the world, me and my boyfriend DID NOT go to watch this film, nor did we discuss going to see this film. I did not even want to go to watch this film, because I do not see the point in taking your other half to go and watch 2 people, who by the way are being paid to act, but anyway as I was saying, I do not see the point in going to watch two people have sex on the big screen. Is your relationship that dead, that this is what you need to go and watch to achieve something? I find it a little weird, that people would not want to spend the evening together, but instead go and watch two bad actors have their weird sex on screen! Where is the logic here? Where is the Iove between the couple who choose to go and do this?

The media have put this movie in everyone’s heads, that they all needed to take their other half to the cinema and watch this dodgy film. I wanted to check this film out to see if my assumptions would be correct, that it would be a quite boring and crap movie, although I watched it in another language, I did not watch the full 2 hours of this film, I skimmed, as I watched the first 15 minutes of the film and it was quite boring. The actress Dakota and the actor Jamie, were the worst actors, you could see there was no passion and no on screen chemistry, no attraction, both very bland actors, you just don’t believe they are attracted to one another.

Another thing is, it just glamorizes domestic violence and sexual violence, I skipped through those bits because they were just not interesting at all, it is portrayed as an erotic film, it is not that at all. Maybe I think it isn’t that great because of the fact it was in another language, but I do not think so, another language or not, the acting and chemistry is still the same, I have seen better on screen relationship chemistry in soaps, than this movie. Both very boring and plain actors, just not good at all.

This movie says its okay for a man to treat a woman in this way, and treat her as an object, a sexual object, and nothing more than that. It makes it seem okay to use manipulation and violence because it is sexual, totally wrong!

This movie makes me so angry, I have no read the book, but I will do in due course, maybe it is just the movie that is this awful and badly written, I have no idea, I cannot judge the book as I have not read it. I am so glad I never followed the trend in going to the cinema and wasting money on this 2 hour movie, it would have been a wasted night, and a waste of money and 2 hours of my life!

The problem with this movie, is it was hyped up so much, so you kind of had high expectations of the movie, that the movie just did not meet in my opinion. I have seen a lot of people on youtube commenting on the movie trailer, about how they really wanted to see this movie and then said it was boring and was described as ’50 shades of shit’. I totally agree, I skimmed, and if a movie is that good, I never skim because the beginning keeps me watching the rest of the movie, when I skip and skim it means I am seriously bored and I probably spent around 30 mins of skimming the whole movie, not really watching big bits at a time.

If you are one of those who did not follow the trend, and did your own thing by yourself or with your other half, good on you, you would of wasted your entire time. I’m pretty sure in the cinema quite a few arguments would of broke out too, maybe the woman did not like their partner watching the naked girl, or the boyfriend not liking the other half watching the naked guy, I do not see why you would want to take your partner to watch two people nude and having sex, when you in fact yourself could be doing your own thing with your partner rather than sit in uncomfortable chairs watching two actors have sex, it just makes me laugh. I find it funny to all those who followed everyone else, and was sucked in into going and wasting your evening and watching this appalling movie, which really just degrades women, and puts them down, and lowers their respect for themselves, and just makes women seem weak.

The only thing I liked from this movie is the soundtrack, and that is about it! Beyonce – Crazy in love remix  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfQ7ucGQdOM

This movie in my opinion is really 50 shade of nothing but BS!❤️

Real Techniques Miracle complexion sponge. Amazing!

I purchased the Real Techniques sponge a few days ago, which a lot of Youtuber’s claim to be a dupe of the Beauty Blender, which costs around £20 or so. I have not been able to use it because I have been at work, and have been tired and various other things.

So today I tried it, so I put the sponge under water, rinsed it out, and it doubled in size. Applied my foundation and concealer and powder. I am amazed, literally amazed, it blends your foundation amazingly, and makes your skin so soft, and it doesn’t even feel like you are wearing makeup because of the way it just blends the foundation and anything else. I feel like I have not got any makeup on at all, and I do!

This product is so good for the price, and is great for applying makeup, and makes your skin soft, plus the sponge is damp so it is also good, because the water mixes in and blends perfectly. It blends powders, and liquid foundations perfectly.

I cannot get over how amazing my makeup blends with this sponge it is simply amazing, I would definitely recommend this to anyone, who uses the beauty blender and wants something a little more cheaper. Absolutely amazing product, 2 thumbs up!

I have nothing bad to say about this product, I got mine from Superdrug, you can also purchase it from Boots, and also online.

Things that I love right now!

So I got a few things this week, that I actually love right now, like LOVE!

Eylure brow stencils – £4.95 from Superdrug

eylure london new brow stencils shaping pre shaped arches 2014 eyebrows stencil

So as you can see there are 4 eyebrow styles that you can choose from, that suit your face shape. I find these to be amazing when I am trying to tweeze my eyebrows, without over plucking one or both eyebrows. They are plastic, so they are reusable again and again, which is good. This product has helped me shape my eyebrows better than when I didn’t have a guide as to what shape I needed to follow, as I over pluck one time and was fed up as I had to fill in my brows quite a bit and hated it!! They are easy to use and it is pretty straight forward.

Maybelline Baby Skin instant pore eraser primer – £7.99 from Boots.

This is like a clear gel, that blurs away your pores and makes applying your foundation a lot nicer, and helps your foundation and makeup last quite a long time throughout the day, which is great. A lot of people claim that it is like the Benefit porefessional primer, which it is a little. It was really inexpensive and you can pick it up from Superdrug and Boots and any drug store. The packaging is also quite cute and its just aww. Works well, 2 thumbs up!!

Maybelline instant fatigue blur – £7.99 from Boots

This comes in 2 shades, rose and apricot, I got the apricot one because of course I am sort of tanned so that’s the one I went with. This is great for minimizing lines or redness, again inexpensive and cut packaging and just a really handy thing to have. It is different to the pore blur primer, totally different products, but both great!

Born Lippy strawberry lip balm – £3.00 from The Body Shop

As it is winter and cold and all the rest, lip balms are what you need, unless you want incredibly dry chapped lips, then go ahead do not purchase any lip balm’s, because if that is the look you are going for of dry chapped cracked lips, then ignore this product. This is strawberry lip balm, it is just a stick version to the one in a little round plastic tub, but i prefer the stick one because I find it better to apply. Smells delicious, and according to my boyfriend, tastes like fruit 🙂 so all in all a good product. Cut packaging again, as I am a sucker for cute stuff, and stuff looking all cute, so yeah.

Real techniques miracle complexion sponge – £5.99 from Boots

Apparently this a dupe of the Beauty Blender, which I have not tried yet so I cannot make a comment on it. I have watched youtube videos of the two and seen that they both pretty much make your makeup look the same, and they are similar, with only a few differences. I have used this and it makes my makeup blend well, and is quite a good shape and size, and covers the face easily. It does remind me of a half cracked egg, as the shape and the color looks like one, but it does the job so its fine, I was laughing for a couple of minutes at the shape, I do not know why I just was. It is obviously cheaper than the beauty blender, although I am looking to buy one, just to compare the two, and see which one is actually better or if they are both the same.

So that is all the things I love at the minute 🙂

♥Batiste instantly refreshes your hair between washes, leaving it feeling gorgeously clean and fresh with added body and texture. No water required! With a range of products to choose from, Batiste makes every day a fabulous hair day ♥

I l♥ve this dry shampoo, it smells amazing and is great for in between washes. They have so many different types, for different types of hair and different colored hair.

I have had nearly all of them and I cannot pick a favorite, because all of them are great and smell so amazing.

This is the perfect product for in between washes, and days your hair is looking a little oily and greasy, it actually removes the oiliness and refreshes your hair as if you have washed it. It is for those lazy days when you  cannot be bothered to wash your hair, or have to rush to work, spray and ruffle your hair a little and that is it, that is literally all you do, and you have fantastic smelling and looking hair.

It ranges from around £2-£5 depending on which one you get, and for what hair type and style. You can get it at Boots, Superdrug, Asda and many other stores.

I really l♥ve this product, I have tried other dry shampoo’s and I just do not love them as much as Batiste’s dry shampoo, I would recommend it!!
